Athlone Town 0-3 Shamrock Rovers
Another pre season game, this time at Athlone Town Stadium, Lissywollen.
I was a little more prepared for this, the 3pm kick off and fine weather really helped considering the equipment. Rovers deservedly ran out 3-0 winners with the match really showing the difference between the divisions. Having said that though, Athlone were still an experimental team and in no way let themselves down.
The game also heralded the arrival of former Dream Team keeper Alex O’Reilly. Alex make a 2nd half substitute appearance and made some quality saves.
Kit for this game was: Canon 400D, Sigma 70-300mm AF Lens.
